By entering the Instagram giveaway (the “Giveaway”) you agree to these terms and conditions.
The Giveaway is open to everyone, aged 18 or over, except for employees of The Writers’ Prize, their families, agencies or anyone else associated with this Giveaway.
Each entrant must be a registered user on Instagram or register with Instagram in order to enter the Giveaway.
To enter you must follow @thewritersprize and write a comment on the post saying which book should win, tagging one other person who might like to enter.
The Giveaway begins at 17:00:00 GMT on March 8 2024 and closes after 23:59 GMT on March 12 2024 (the “Closing Date”). All entries must be received by the closing date or they will not be counted.
Any entries by a person found to be using multiple Instagram accounts to enter the Giveaway will be ineligible. The Writers’ Prize does not accept responsibility for network, computer, and hardware or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of your entry.
You must not post violent, nude, partially nude, discriminatory, unlawful, infringing, hateful, pornographic, sexually suggestive or other inappropriate (at The Writers’ Prize sole discretion) pictures. The Writers’ Prize may, but has no obligation to, remove pictures that The Writers’ Prize determines in its sole discretion violates these Terms and Conditions.
The Writers’ Prize complies with the standard procedures laid down in the UK Data Protection Act to ensure that the personal information you give us is kept secure and processed fairly and lawfully. We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes unless you have given us permission to do so.
The winner of the Giveaway will be the first entry drawn at random within two working days of the Closing Date. The winner will be notified by a post or private direct message on Instagram by no later than one week after the Closing Date. Sponsor’s decision will be final. No correspondence will be entered into. There shall be one (1) winner of the prize.
The Giveaway prize shall consist of one set of the nine book titles shortlisted for The Writers’ Prize 2024 to be sent to a mainland UK address.
Odds of winning the Prize depends on the total number of eligible entries received. The winner will be responsible for all expenses not specified in the Prize description above.
If the Prize is not claimed within 48 hours of the winner being notified, The Writers’ Prize reserves the right to award the Prize to an alternative winner.
The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-negotiable. There is no cash alternative. The Writers’ Prize reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or any part thereof) for one of its choosing which has a value the same or greater than the original prizes in the event of circumstances outside of its control.
By entering the Giveaway the winners agree to participate in such promotional activity and material as The Writers’ Prize may require.
Winner’s details will be available for 14 days after the Closing Date by sending a SAE to THE WRITERS’ PRIZE INSTAGRAM GIVEAWAY at the address below.
This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram.
The Writers’ Prize reserves the right to (i) cancel this Giveaway, (ii) cancel or refuse any individual’s entry and (iii) amend these terms and conditions (and will use reasonable endeavour to notify changes to entrants and potential entrants).
